Hello,
Have been searching on the net now for several hrs for a good chord/lyric editor. Wondering what you guys use. I am less interested in tabbing the songs than just having chord sheets. And i would like for it to display the chords graphically at the top of the page.
Do any of the tab programs like tabledit do chords/lyrics only views? Thanks for your info.
God Bless,

Boutros,
I've never heard the term 'chord/lyric editor'. Notation programs will make tabs for guitars as well as displaying the chords with or without showing where the fingers go on the guitar but they may be more than what you want because they are meant to show the notes on a stave. Such programs are Finale, Encore, ect. They can be quite expensive.
Passport Music, which made Encore before going bankrupt and selling its notation programs to Gvox(gvox.com) made a program that sounds like it would do what you wanted called Memphis that sold for about $30 but didn't stay on the market very long so I figured there wasn't much of a market. It showed the lyrics (with no notes but a musical staff) and the chord symbols. But I'm not sure if it did tabs. The Gvox people might still be selling that. Hope this helps.
