I thought I should report this to the group. This morning I was doing something or other around the house and a tune started running through my head. I started humming it. I wondered, 'What's that tune?' Then some lyrics popped into my head. It was Ty's 'This Time Tomorrow.' I have listened to it a maximum of three times, spread over a few weeks. That the tune should find its way into my Sunday morning musings and have me humming would seem to indicate to me that it really has something. That's happened to me with one other tune from this group. That thing with 'memory' in the title by Mike Morgan. I went looking for that one on soundclick but couldn't find it. Did you remove it Mike? Anyway, that's my report.

Thanks for the comments. I hope I can get a similar response from someone up on Music Row in the next few weeks. Am taking a CD up to my plugger friend this week. If she likes it, she'll pitch it. Will keep you posted.

Although we all strive for different objectives with individual songs, and hope to have art and inspiration... in the end, a memorable commercial hook is key to the kind of songwriting I'm working at here in Nashville. Sometimes it's hard for a writer to know if a song is catchy or not because he/she gets so immersed in it during writing & demo production.

about song #28

I've never written a song with memory in the title as far as I can remember.
