Were that these McCarthian accusations by brainwashed American apologists, moved to almost canine heat in the delusion of patriotism under which they attempt in vain to defend America's 'honor' from every perceived slight in every corner of Usenet, sufficient to bear proof of their own false witness, then no truth would remain in the world. For what dispassionate observer with any sense of righteous approbation would not be horrified at the lengths these cuntish wranglers have gone to twist the natural limits of language to justify their jingoistic agenda, that any comment not immediately gushing with tearful sympathy for the sufferings of Americans in the Great Inconvenience conceals unspeakable evil; in fine, a plot to overthrow the American government, to murder its citizens and revel in drunken orgy upon the still-warm blood of their dead children? Indeed, one can only marvel at the profound ignorance that compels their tribe to scream America's name in lieu of a rational premise, even at risk of forever forfeiting the respect of sane men. Let any red-blooded American who would despise the rest of the world on the basis of his country's economic and political status step forth, and let him be beaten until he dies bleeding from every orifice.

I like the part about the drunken orgy. The rest sounds like a Saddam Hussein audio recording.

I doubt Saddam was/is as eloquent as tc, regardless of what you may think of the message. I particularly like 'canine heat' and 'cuntish wranglers' - sounds like a tribe - maybe: the Cuntish Warriors are renowned for their quaint ceremonies etc. I thought that 'twist the natural limits of language' might be intended as irony but then that would be wasted considering the intended audience?

Anyway, look forward to hearing it set to music.

[deletions]

: Gee, I hope you guys are all feeling better now, every one of you who've : found it convenient to vent your dislike for the US in these recent threads, : however well you've played that down, or covered your asses with double : talk.

Some might see it differently, even some Americans. The only dislike I see is not for Americans, but U.S. international policy and the meddling some people think is going on.

: I'm proud to be an American,

I am not proud of being an American. I am happy to be one. But I'm no flag-waver. I'm more interested in whirled peas... And I hope you understand, pride is not something I appreciate in a human anyway, it's kind-of a negative energy to me.

: I hope you're all as proud of your : countries. Nobody, NOBODY has tried to diminish the plight or rights of : others here...except for you guys. Every ONE of you would have taken : exception to Sean's remarks had he made them with respect to your homeland, : not to mention a portion of his own.

I'm not sure they would. I didn't take any offense to what Sean said, and I was born in Dallas... There are some of us who think we're being funny, when we are not. It has been my personal failing right here in RMMS. Not much I can do about it, except apologize. Apologies are not easy, some people can't do it. I'm pretty easy with it, probably because I screw up more than most.

: You don't rejoice in other's : misfortunes...or do you? You know what's scary here? I think some of you do.

Sadly, some people look upon America with disdain and think we have it much too easy and because of that, think Americans are callous, self-centered and arrogant.

: Well, guess what guys, some of us don't, and this is one of them, and : I'm an American.

I really do not consider any of these people as sinister or evil. And I really don't believe they rejoice in other's misfortunes. And I'm an American too. Maybe I want to see the good in people and it blinds me. OTOH, I ain't no saint and I've been spanked a few.

Hey! I like that: I ain't no saint and I've been spanked a few. Lookit me! I'm a writter...

: You have all the world's answers, fine...run for office in your : respective places, and try and sort it all out. Don't come ragging into a : songwriting newsgroup to spout your hate, however popular that's become here : lately. : I'm sickened at disgusted by the lot of you, almost to the point of : telling you to...nahh, you're not worth the conscience attack! : Sherryl

I'm not sure this thread and the other one are worth all this anxiety. Some people have very strong feelings about the U.S.'s international policy. Remember when Jon Cornell wanted the U.S. to fail in Iraq? He didn't want people to die, he wanted a lesson to be learned. Isn't this the same? Maybe not... Maybe all I've done is mess it up even more. Please forgive me if I have.

Wishing you well...

and more deletions

Bob, it doesn't surprise me that you didn't take offense to anything Sean said. Guess I could leave it at that, but since you brought it up, I won't. Yes, we all try to be funny in here, myself included, and most of us appreciate a little clever play on words...but not at someone else's expense usually. To take a serious post, and try to turn it into a joke falls flat for me. It's intended to diminish the problem or person with the problem, but it usually makes the poster smaller in my eyes. Do I think it was intentional, yes, obviously I must or this wouldn't be bothering me so much. You turned around and did more or less the same thing after Janice posted again with her leaking boat question, which I thought was a beautiful response from her, not to mention a pretty damned forgiving one considering. Why couldn't you have commented in a positive way to that thought provoking question she posed? Rather, you minimized again what she was trying to say...and you know, I'm only just realizing it doesn't matter how much I say these things, some of you are just going to turn a deaf ear. Have a great day yourself, Bob.

<snipped>

Because a lot of do-good liberals forget that this is Britain, for better or worse, and that anybody that comes here want to come to Britain.

One up for the US there

Quite right.

I think the intent was not to diminish the problem or the person. Some people might not be as mean-spirited as you think.

: You turned around and did more or less the same thing after Janice posted : again with her leaking boat question, which I thought was a beautiful : response from her, not to mention a pretty damned forgiving one considering.

I did what? The people in the boat problem? You read much more into it than I put into it. Tried to bring a little light-heartedness into it, hopefully to calm it down a bit. So you see? I'm not evil, I wanted something good to happen, so I failed again.

: Why couldn't you have commented in a positive way to that thought provoking : question she posed? Rather, you minimized again what she was trying to : say...

Why do you want everyone to fit into your model? Shouldn't we offer some acceptance and tolerance? We don't fit into anyone else's idea of model person. And as far as the question Janice posed, I thought I provided a thought-provoking answer. Once again, a great example of seeing things quite differently. Nothing sinister though. Why do you think we're such bad people?

: and you know, I'm only just realizing it doesn't matter how much I say : these things, some of you are just going to turn a deaf ear. Have a great : day yourself, Bob. : Sherryl

None of us are perfect...especially me... right now I'm having trouble reading with this log in my eye...

Of course none of us are perfect, it'd be a boring group were that the case anyway, but we have to show *some* respect and consideration for each other for crying out loud. You say two things here, one you responded to Janice to try to make things lighthearted, the other to provide a thought-provoking answer, here it is below, your response...

'I always like an Interesting problem, like the one you pose above. The answer is, it depends on how much you weigh and the size of the boat. If the boat were small and you were extremely obese, perhaps the hole could only be seen with you removed from the boat...'

Again, I guess some of the intended humor is just beyond my reach, I'll bet Sean appreciated it though.

Thanks, Sherryl

II want to add how much I admire you. Your keeping your head when all about you are losing their manners and blaming it on being 'misunderstood'; for sticking up for what you believe in and making allowances for those who 'chip away' too...

I've 'known' you for a long time on this board, Sherryl, and you have shown over the years that are a person that typifies integrity, and holding your ground and being your own person.

I'm not saying you're the only one with sterling qualities here, there are many, but I can see you have attributes that I, for a start, can hope to be influenced by.

Jeez, Richard... I would love to have heard that thousands of Brits raised the Union Jack outside number 10 and said 'sod the lot of you'.
