ive got a laney aor100, which has a line out on the back. i tried putting this through a di box into the line in on my pc, with a speaker load on the amp, and it shouted at me lots. my logic would assume that a line out should lead to a line in, but it doesnt seem to be working. anybody care to explain why? grateful already, simon

Have you checked on the computer that you have set the 'MUTE' option on the windows mixer to unticked for Line In? You have to do this on the 'Record' mixer, not just the 'output' mixer.

I could possibly be wrong, but you shouldn't need a DI box from line out to line in. The DI is norm used to get high impedance signals (like passive basses) up to line level.
