A suggestion: we have a French student staying with us, and she introduced me to Ben Harper. I believe his music would be enjoyed by most on this group. (Let me know if you want some sample stuff on a CD - but you'll have to provide blank CD and SASE!)
Sheesh - this sounds like a major plug. I have no connection to Ben Harper in any way or form - his music is to me a welcome distraction from most of the crap I hear these days.

Check out Tom McRae for a singer/songwriter above the usual dirge that is associated with that genre.
Ben Harper is fanastic. I heard him on TV when I went on holiday in France. First chance I had upon getting back I went to buy his new album. I've had brief listens to his other works, but I don't think they can really compare to Diamonds on the Inside. Daniel C.
