Bass frustration

Some of you may know that within my band I have converted from six to four strings. One interesting thing is that I have lost the urge to 'widdle' or 'busk' between numbers in rehearsal.

Anyway. I have been looking for a bass and having played a few in AOS and Cookes in Norwich, I have come across the fact that the Fender Jazz suits me and what/how I play. So I looked (after being steered there by a UKMG'er) on Ebay. Great! I thought, there's a few there. I should be able to get one no problem. But the Gods plotted against me. I went on line 30 seconds too late to get the first one, the second was 'bought now' 3 days before the auction ended and the last one was withdrawn, two days after being listed. All were Mexican and under £300 which is in my price range. Now there is nothing.

If any body has a MIM Jazz for up to £300, I would be interested.

They seem to be really rare 2nd hand at the moment for some odd reason. More on loot than ebay though...
