Nashville Star winner, 41 year old Buddy Jewel's single 'Help pour out the rain' is about to crack the top ten and has been on the charts for many weeks now. I'm not one for contests and TV shows but I couldn't be happier for Buddy, he's sung on a couple of mine and my wife's demos over the years, I don't know him very well but he has a reputation as a good guy, I'm happy for him. Any thought on him and the whole process that brought him to this point?

Hey man.....post a snippet of something that buddy cut for you....
I watched the show, and knew he was the best bet...even though I had biased feelings for Amy Chappel (if all goes as planned, I'll be writing with her at the end of this month) because she's in my circle. but regardless, I knew buddy would take the cake.....he's a veteran and it showed.
cheers, 60 cycle hum

On my last visit to Nashville to demo some of my songs a few years ago, Buddy Jewell was my singer. I could tell he was the real deal, so it's great to see him get the break he worked so hard for years to earn!

Hey, Al! Good to see you in here!
I've also used Buddy on a number of demos. He did a great job.
