Not exactly similar to Mozart's music but somewhat comparable is Schuberts 'music for 4 hands', beautifully played by Yaara Tal & Andrea Groethuysen (Sony). Well worth investigating. Regards,

scratched into my forehead in

Nobody wrote for the piano like Mozart did, but I think Scriabin's piano concerto in F# minor is very close. It's a lot more refined than I expected at first. I have the Naxos recording, which I recommend you avoid. It's an amateurish effort.

Try John Cage's 4' 33'. This is so slow it can seem as though nothing is happening. Despite that, it's over in less than 5 minutes. By then you'll be saying, 'You ain't heard nothing yet.'

Similar for one isn't similar for another. Best thing to do is visit the library that has sheet music you can borrow. It's best to get books with various composers or else you end up like I did. I enjoyed Satie's Gymnopedie and wanted to see what else he had. Didn't like any other piece. When you find something you like, head to a music store and buy it.

As for slow pieces in general (slow not necessarily meaning easy), I like Chopin.

I bought the John Cage CD, but I think something's wrong with it because I don't hear anything...
