Definately different, but not without charm! Seriously, you have to forget the tele side as it has humbuckers to start with, but they are high quality guitars especially the walnut version. I think the look great though. Another thing is that the whole elite line got dragged down because the strat version came with a horrible tremelo system, so they all got tarred by the same brush. The teles were and still are great guitars. PS: I am the seller and this IS a plug
