Finished Recording

I've finally, finally, finally finished recording my album 'Depigeonholeisation'.

It's taken me near as dammit Five years. I started in 1998, as documented in this newsgroup, with a then brand-new K6-2 300 computer running (don't laugh) with 32meg of RAM and a 4-gig disc, and one of the very first Soundblaster Lives. It was considered a pretty hot spec at the time....

Well, It's finally ready and sitting on the (2nd) hard disk ready for final mastering. All I have to do now is get the artwork sorted. I'm going to run off 100 CD-R copies, and it will be available at Wigan for the first time.

It consists of twelve songs, all played, sung, mixed, battered to death etc by yours truly.

If anyone wants to know what to expect, do a google on the newsgroup as several tunes have been submitted here in the past. Don't expect Clive-style guitar pyrotechnics. (Entire newsgroup switches off at this point) I'm more of a singy-type person.

I've already got a couple of ideas ready for the next one, entitled 'Zombie Finger', after the fingernail infection I got whilst making this one!

Unfortunately I won't be able to pick one up in person this year.

My new P4 is up and running, all I need is the time to record some of my tunes. Right now, five years seems like a very reasonable time scale!
