Who knows, but looking up the definition of Grammys I found this (below) and it says FA about musical merit, that's if you even consider Eminem devoid of it in the first place, which is debatable. I'm thinking that possibly your admiration of Bazzer outweighs other considerations.

Anyway, more importantly where am I in the nominations? I've got my soundclick site up and running what the hell else do I have to do ffs?! Might as well give up.

I agree that the Grammy definition of 'Best Album' says nothing about musical merit, but shouldn't that be inferred? Why would a recording win a Grammy that lacked musical 'splendor'

I'm not an advocate of rap, but who makes the decision as to 'well-written' 'creative melodies' and 'superb lyrics'....you?

We all know that music is a very subjective thing...the popularity and commercial success of an artist or a song has a lot to do with the chances of a nomination, even if you or I disagree with that choice.

There's ALWAYS somebody that thinks the most recent nominations are absurd...every year.

And those are just my thoughts

Barry Manilow?

Are you on drugs?

Ain't doubting the man's talent...but a grammy nomination?

Why is it absurd? Obviously, more people emotionally responded to 'The Eminem Show' than they did to 'At the Mayflower'.

That's pretty much what award shows are - 80% a reflection of public preference, mixed in with 20% of the judges' own snobbery.

Those are two criterea that I couldn't care less about, so I don't watch them.

They've always been, to a large part, ludicrous.
