Hey Tom, good morning;

Thanks for taking a listen... yeah, someone else - actually a couple of people now - have said you could also play it under the CNN weather... on a warm day at least

Mission complete!

Thanks, Tom... funny you should mention this since there was this additional analogue outboard step this time... But going to minidisk was necessary because my machine tanked when I came to record it.. I'm thinking about saving up for a DAT machine or something, if I'm going to going to outboard a lot in the future. The minidisk recorder is fine, but it's noisy so quiet tracks aren't going to cut it...

Yup, the bulk of the work is done by Giga, the only exceptions on Just Another Day are the piano (as usual from the Roland A-90 VE-RD1) and the fretless bass at the start (from the Yamaha SW1000XG).

You - everyone - are most welcome.

You record a track at a time into your DAW. Of course, you would have thought of this but I'm curious as to you opinion. This way, i would think Giga could export separate wav files and there would be no analog step whatsoever, i think...

Take care, Aaron

Hi Aaron;

Yep, Giga can supposedly export-to-wave but I've never been able to make it work properly for me. Recording a track-at-a-time *is* of course possible... but I'm not that patient. When a song's complete I just want to get it recorded. I think one at a time (or even subgroup at a time) would drive me mad. Messing around with audio in a DAW isn't really my cup of tea.

Re: analogue steps - the SW1000XG is also able to record its own output, but that still leaves the A90 as an analogue input. Oh well. I have another PC to resurrect that I can put a sound card in to record into; that might work too.

Cheers, John
