'Kinell!!!

That took me back a bit. I remember seeing them at The Porterhouse in Retford, Notts sometime around then.

There's a lot of bands I've seen and completely forgotten about, not that lot though!!

And I remember seeing Chapman-Whitney Streetwalkers in Torquay in 1973 - another top one!!!

Oh, the Chapman-Whitney Streetwalkers, with Nicko McBrain on drums! Great band, Brian Johnstone, a great friend of HMK played with them too!

Check the HMK fansite, and join the mailing list!!!

I can also remember seeing HMK's around that time at the Pavilion in Hemel Hempstead. Brilliant stage act and really got the audience going. I remember Gary Holton giving the lead guitarist a severe beating and kicking during a solo (very well choreographed) and the guy didn't miss a note. Glad to hear they're still around. I thought they'd just folded after Wayne (Gary Holton) snuffed it. Anyone else remember the Pavilion? I'm sure it must have been one of the most active 'out of town' venues back in the 70's and attracted a lot of big names to play there at the start of a major tour as the excellent acoustics helped with fine tuning their sound. Here's a few I remember:- Eric Clapton (the Thursday before his Crystal Palace garden party comeback) Lynyrd Skynyrd (last date of their UK tour and their last live performance before the fateful aircrash) Peter Frampton (being filmed for OGWT and subsequently transmitted later that evening. Saw him twice the same day!) Robin Trower Thin Lizzy Judas Priest (felt like my ears were bleeding!) Sutherland Brothers & Quiver Camel (Snow Goose tour) Barclay James Harvest Dr Feelgood Status Quo Bay City Rollers (missed that one!) Hawkwind Wishbone Ash (Andy Powell's home town. He went to school with my older brother) Golden Earring Tangerine Dream Ronny Lane Be Bop Deluxe Alvin Lee Stealers Wheel Gerry Rafferty and loads more I'm struggling to remember. Anyone else got fond memories? Neil.
