I find it a challenge to write about other stuff and I guess it's just one of my pet peeves. How does that strike folks? Just curious about the different perspectives on the 'importance' (I guess, for lack of a better term) of this song topic. Phil

I try not to write love songs, mainly since it has been done to death is seriously cliched and not very interesting. Also I think I don't really have anything new to say on the subject, so I don't bother.
I'd rather write about the dark side of relationships... The pain the anger the guilt and other rubbish like that..... Plus other completely non relationship songs...
Each to their own though....

Yeah. I guess when I do write about relationships it is on a social or humanitarian level rather trying to capture the nuances of an intimacy that may exist between two individuals, whether positive or negative. Phil
