I've recently started playing bass in this tight little instrumental jammy/jazzy/funk trio out of Northern VA, and I'm thinking about adding some songs with vocals , but unfortunately I can't write lyrics that I would want to sing. So I was wondering if there is anyone out there who has a way with words who would like to write some lyrics for us. My favorite lyricists include Dylan, Roger Waters, Robert Hunter, and John Lennon. I'm not really looking for any particular style as long as it's not cheesey. If you're interested you could send me a sample, and I could mail you a cd of some of our stuff after New Years.
