I'm looking for a dark, seductive and most of all SERPENTINE piece of music which evokes the temptation of Eve in the garden. Any ideas (composers or pieces)?

Part III (Dance of Belkis at dawn) from Respighi´s Suite from 'Belkis, Regina di Saba' can do.

......

Revueltas' 'Sensemayá' would certainly come to mind, but it progresses from sinuously dark into a pretty wild seduction (abandon?).

Does the theme from 'I, Claudius' deserve a mention in this context? What about the theme from the movie 'The In-Laws'?

Or Respighi's Butantan from Brazilian Impressions (Butantan refers to a snake farm that he visited and felt suitably uneasy about)?

The Bacchanale from Saint-Saëns' *Samson et Dalilah* is pretty traditional for that sort of thing.

I considered that, but it's awfully long and doesn't really have a recognizable tune.

(There's probably a Temptation scene in Penderecki's Paradise Lost, but, having sat through its world premiere performance, I'd say, Who cares?)
