Hi everybody,

I am sorry I have not posted anything in months - due entirely to the fact that where I live, if the sun is shining - you'd best get out because you don't know when you will see it again. That, plus a nice long very enjoyable vacation.

But I continue to make tunes. Here is a new one - let me know what you think: http://www.soundclick.com/bands/0/ zananakeyholesmusic.htm

BASTARD SON

Gave me a five dollar bill Said that I could drink my fill Trying to help some friends Never came back again Go and fight your wars that can’t be won Believe me when you leave me You’ll never see the light of sun

Go over to fight some war Trying to even the score Or trying to help some friend You’ll never come back again

Help me Daddy Please tell me what to do They treat me badly And I do it all just to please you

Tell me Mother what have I done? Don’t remember me as the bastard son (that knows nothing)

Hey baby don’t remember me as the bastard son that knows nothing

Now I’m laying on the ground

All the little boys are laughing at me Cause I can’t come to play All the little girls are laughing at me Cause Daddy wants me Mamma’s way I don’t wanna go to school no more And I don’t wanna go home I don’t wanna be a grown-up Cause parents are such a bore I just wanna lay and look at the clouds And dream of what I’ll do some day

Dream of what I’ll do some day

You try to make amends By saying you’ll help your friends You fooled nobody in the end

Biggest comment is that I find the vocals to be awfully muffled throughout. The other parts are pretty clear, but for some reason the vocals aren't. They're also a little low in the mix.

Songwriting comment: I found it hard to grasp the song's story.

Also streamed 'You Got It.' Much better recording in almost every dimension, and the vocals are much clearer. The mix on this one also 'gelled' better
