Okay RMMSers, here's your chance to post your plans for the next year. Me? I'm going to stay out of music theory debates And music theft, er, P2P debacles. And copyright arguments.

Oh, yes, and I'm going to write 10 times as many songs as I did in 2002. You are all a wonderful bunch. Happy 2003!

Okay, I'm in for one or two. 1) I will finish sixteen songs, so I can get a cd finished in time for the festival season here in new england (I'm pretty close now...five are ready for recording, nine are in rewrite). Of those, I'll use eight. 2) I will accept more offers to play out w/other people in spite of not feeling prepaired. 3) I will always bring an instrument w/me when going to festivals. 4) I will not accept any offers to be cloned. 5) I will find what is causing that horrid smell in my fridge. 6) I will offer the Kundalini Yoga class I never got around to starting last year. 7) I will not allow anyone to talk their way into my writing time, and will make no appologies for this. 8) When I am tired I will go to sleep. 9) Since I make no excuses for myself, I will no longer accept them from others either.

Okay...that was way more than a couple. Guess I have some work to do, eh? ;~) .

Happy New Year to you all, with Peace and Love,

Next year I've decided to get involved in more threads about music theory. Write even more songs than last year. State my case a bit more assertively and embellish my posts with more swearing. Be more sarcastic. Jump into threads and diss people for stating their point of view more. Emphasise and re-emphasise those things which I believe to be worthy of emphasis and re-emphasis more emphatically (and re-emphatically) and learn to nitpick.

and when I've finished enjoying myself, I think I'll learn to play the piano and sing better. <arf, arf>

Same back at ya, Irene

I'm putting my money where my mouth is, got a pitcher in Nash, had some good feedback and several demos kept 'for further listening

Going to get ten state of the art demos recorded, and look forward to hearing someone say of my song - 'God, if I hear that one mpore time on the radio I will scream'.

Or so it goes in my plan A...;-^

I plan to upgrade from grossly overweight to dangerously obese. I'd also like to get off this damn nicorette gum that I've been addicted to for about four years. When I smoked I never chewed this stuff, so I'll take up smoking again. I also plan to quit drinking so much brandy; I understand Scotch whisky isn't as bad for you, so I'll move in that direction. I've been dumping altogether too much money into an education fund for my ungrateful brats, so I plan to stop doing that; I'll spend more money on myself, because I actually feel grateful to myself when I do it. Those are my resolutions so far.

Jay I just visited the library site and applied to be a volunteer. Do you think the fact that I live in Leeds UK will be a bit of a hindrance or what? I used your name as a reference so should be no problem, whaddya reckon?

Yours bibliotecally,
