It clocked in at 4:01 for me, by the way. The first time I listened, I really didn't like the b (middle) section. The second time, I liked it a lot. I couldn't quite tell what you were developing the first time, but I think I got it. Those upward-leading rhythmic figures are nice. I think the big pauses in the a section worked very well as phrase markers; I'd have liked another big pause after the b section, but that's just me. I also wish the b section had some of the rhythmic ideas which are going on in the high voices also happening in the lower voices, but I have a hard time living without inverted counterpoint. It flowed well from start to end, and I didn't find myself wishing it was over before you finished, which for me is high praise. I'd listen to it again. I'd go on, but it would just be my typical crap of telling you what I'd do to make it sound more like what I'm trying to write, and that's not going to help anyone. Where's the rest of it?
