I humbly present before you (and anyone else who may be interested) a preliminary sketch of my new song, melody and chords only, for comment. In a departure from my usual method, I will seek input on a song BEFORE it is ruined forever at my hands.

Questions:

1) Does the melody work? Does it sound plagiarized? Does it even make sense?

2) Do you find the chords interesting or boring? Natural or forced?

3) What sort of arrangement do you think would be appropriate for this type of song?

4) What is your opinion of the song overall? Is it a keeper, or is it a joke just like my songwriting career? Do you know what the word 'song' means? What is your credit card number?

I think Honcho is away so...........

Forced

One with less weird chords

It needs variation.

Yes whatever we want it to mean.

Mind your own business

For those that think I can't take the heat, I simply lurve the heat, last year I was in Egypt where it was 45 in the shade, now that's what I call pleasant )

I bear you no ill will.

Are you creepy or what.

I have only heard about food, is it good? What was your provocation for suggesting that it needs variation?

What makes you say want it to mean?

Am I still running on my PC

I thought I was just telling you a joke. It's kind of hot in here.

I'm ready for summer anyway Gary is a city in Lake County Indiana, USA Gary is a city in McDowell County West Virginia, USA Well, Sam, Gary is a city in Deuel County South_Dakota, USA Gary is a city in Norman County Minnesota, USA GARY who?

p.s. Just kidding, Mr. Snabbu. These replies were, of course, entirely computer-generated. I just thought it would be a fitting response to your somewhat formulaic crit. BTW, if you have something to say to 'Fred,' let me know, and I'll pass it on.

I have heard of Gary Indiana There is of course a Gary Yeomans in Florida a Ford Dealer and Daytona rev head. There is another Gary Yeomans in England who is a Farmer . There are two other Gary Yeomanses in Australia one who is a union official with the meat packers union and another who is an athlete. If any of the above Gary Yeomanses or myself have something to say to 'Fred' we will let you know. Meanwhile back to C F and G7th

I am afraid you have me mixed up with somebody else, I am not celebral, whether musically or otherwise. The strings didn't work for me which is my main stumbling block, I think you have the Honcho disease, make everything very complicated to show everybody how clever you are - Well, I can report you are very clever, but I am not sure I want to listen

OTOH I could play around more with The Rivals and call it a collab. Methinks there could be very nice commercial style toon in there.

Okay, and thanks for the feedback. Not sure if I want to go back to Rivals or start on something new, but I'm definitely not gonna waste any more time with this song. But do try changing the string part to piano and transposing it down an octave, I think you may be surprised how simple the accompaniment actually is.

Gary Yeomans in Florida is just down the road from me and he can't sing for crap. But he does have a brand new Ford dealership and pockets full of money.
