Hi, I've been learning Die To Live by ear and here is the result, I know it's quite messy in places but I didn't have a lot of time to do a second take or anything as my girlfriend was here. Also you can stream it in mp3 (high quality) to save any time on downloading it. Please don't hesitate to critque, Thanks

Well you know Akeel, I'm sort of interested to hear it and give you some feedback ... but since you can't be arsed to give it your best shot I'm not feeling inclined to wait for it to download. Why don't you post another message when you get five minutes to do a second take?

Steve White, I will probably re-record this again soon once I've learnt it better, but as I said I only did one take because my girlfriend would get pissed off.

Steve at Fivetrees, the SRV was mostly improvised seeing as I only learnt the first few bars to that song, in fact most of the tunes there are just complete improvisations. Stuff which I've spent time writing I haven't bothered recording, I'm not entirely sure why, I guess I've just never bothered learning them. They just reside in a folder in MIDI format.

Thanks for listening,

Great effort - I wish I'd given Vai a go after 3 years, rather than 15! Don't worry so much about the cock ups, smoothing those out comes with practice. You have a great sound and really captured the spirit of the piece, keep it up and don't forget to learn theory at the same time as the fancy technique.

Akeel,

I'm not particularly interested in listening to heavy rock / metal (although I LOVE playing ((pretending to play)).

However, I'm really interested to know what drum machine you were using - the drumming sound was fantastic.
