Good afternoon, everyone
Time for a shameless plug and a request for help from everyone here at My Chord Space...
I created the original QuickChord app (linked elsewhere on this site) more than 6 years ago, and published it as a freeware application. Since then (particularly since a guitar magazine in the UK picked it up and distributed a copy on CD with the magazine) it has become hugely popular with guitar teachers worldwide, and I am happy to say it has been downloaded over a million times as of November 2008!
I've gotten a lot of great email and suggestions over the years, and am finally at the point that I am releasing a new version as a commercial product, now renamed as QwikChord.
The best news: I will be also be releasing a Mac OSX and iPhone version! For the first time, users will be able to send their chords to each other across platforms.
My request is this: I need people to beta test the pre-release version. If you write back with bug fixes or feedback, you will automatically receive a registered version of the retail copy when it goes on sale on March 21!.
Yes, it is only selling for $12.95, so I can't say it's a HUGE freebie, but it's still free. Plus, as a registered user you will receive lifetime updates as they are posted. Not a bad deal, right?
This is a public beta period, but only the members of this board (and a couple other boards that I am a member of) will have the opportunity to get the final version at no charge as a way of saying thank you for all the comments and support over the years.
There are no 3rd party apps, toolbars, crapware, nags, annoying online registration process, or limited features. This is the full release that is intended for sale, but is still in testing.
Go to the purchase page on the site (until March 21 there is no purchase required, just a download link) to get your copy.

Right now, only the Windows version is posted. The Mac OSX beta should be ready in April, along with the iPhone version.
Thanks again!
