: at Maryhill Winery in the Columbia River Gorge. I just got back : tonight from the gig. Of the 40 semi-finalists, I placed 5th, won : $100 (amost exactly what I spent on wine there), and got to play a : half-hour set in their new 3,000 seat amphitheater. Had an absolutely : (if somewhat nerve-wracking) great time. It was a mind-blowing : experience to hear my music over a huge top-notch PA. I sounded so : good I told my wife they must have been using auto-tune on my vocals. : 'No,' she said, 'You were off in a couple of places, but sounded : pretty good otherwise.' I can always count on her to bring me back to : earth. The audience liked my songs 'The Bottle and I' and 'Joey's Not : Here' (a Ramones tribute), but the smash hit of the whole competition : was 'Camel Toes.' People actually stopped me on the street in The : Dalles and said 'Hey, you're the Camel Toes guy!' For one brief, : exciting moment I felt like a pop star. : Jay Seeley :
