Vintage Amp Repairs

It depends what kind of TLC they need. Are they working? Where are you/they?

I know someone in Brighton who has rebuilt valve amps...

One of them works well but I would like to see if any of the bits and pieces have drifted off spec. The other came to a crackling stop the other night: the volume went down, came back then...silence. I live in Felpham so Brighton would be dead easy! Normally I would use Stage Services in Ford as they are really excellent but I need them to do another job for me first, so I was looking for a valve specialist. Thanks for the help so far!

Hmmm... I think you really do need a valve specialist (i.e. not me). Are the valves glowing? If not, could be the heater transformer...

Near Bognor, then. Do you go to any of the Bognor jam nights at the Royal Oak, first Thursday of the month? I went to the last one, had a gas... I'm in Selsey, as I've probably already said.
