Where am I going to find...

...a decent selection of second-hand DECENT amplification?

I'm looking for 50/100watt heads/combos/cabs. I don't necessarily need Fender, Marshall - I'll take Impact, Kelly or even Carlsbro - trouble is - I can't find anything.

I live in Leicester (for my sins), but I'll happily travel for a good range of decent stuff. Not that I'm a cheapskate or anything - just don't want boutique rip off kit (Yeah, so I'm a cheapskate already).

Sounds Great in Cheadle have a selection of S/H Gibson & Fender amps, but I suspect you'd rather find an Impact or a John Kelly!

Depending on how the second-hand Laney LC30 I just bought on eBay turns out, I *may* have a Carlsbro GLX50 going up for sale... bought it new about 4 months ago. I'll post if it does indeed go up, to give 'prior warning'.

What you need, Squire, is an auction-sniping service, where you can set the amount you wish to bid, point it at the relevant auction and leave the computer to do the work for you.

The Sound Control chain have a section for PXd stuff. The Locall number is 0845 600 2485 where you should be able to get the other 11 branch numbers for a ring round.

Thanks for this, although the last time I dropped into the B'Ham store I was disappointed by the lack of good s/h stuff. They certainly didn't have as much as Musical Exchanges used to carry, but it's probably worth checking out again.
