Hi, I though one of you music gurus might be able to help me:

I just saw this commercial on TV, from Zales Diamonds. It feature this beautiful music, would any of you know what it is by any chance?

Well.... I'm not sure, but I think the Zales music is a blatant ripoff (just enough to escpae copyright laws) of the DeBeers Diamond song. If you play it on a piano, in C, it will go something like, CBC G CDCD DCD A DEDE. This music is written by Karl Jenkins, called _Palladio_. It's a pseudo-Baroque concerto grosso, and it can get very interesting. The DeBeers music is the first movement, although chopped up and arranged for commercials. The original music is in the key of d minor, but the commercials often arrange it into a major key. I've even heard a chopinesque arrangement on a commercial to be like a piano concerto.
